American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

The Biochemistry Club is an official Undergraduate Student Chapter of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB). The American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) is a national organization that seeks to showcase advancements in the fields of biochemistry and molecular biology. 

Any biochemistry major at NU is automatically considered a Biochemistry Club member. Students can also opt in to membership in the ASBMB Chapter, which provides additional professional development benefits. Membership applications for the Chapter can only be accepted in September and October of each year

Each year, the ASBMB hosts a national conference that brings together students, educators, researchers, company representatives, and many others. Students may also be eligible for a poster presentation as well as competitions for cash prizes. The 2022 meeting will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from April 2nd to April 5th.
